Kısaca dolu dolu, tam bir Star Wars çılgınlığına hazır olun. Detaylara geçecek olursak; tüm bu harita ve modeller film standartlarına göre yeniden geliştirilip daha gerçekçi hale getirilmişler. Mod hem Jedi Academy hem de Jedi Outcast?i destekliyor. Kurulum esnasında paketi hangi oyunun üzerine kuracağınızı ayarlıyorsunuz gerisini setup otomatik hallediyor. Paketin kurulumundan hemen sonra oyunun yeni menüsü sizi karşılıyor. Bu menüde yeni gelen bölümlere direkt olarak başlayabilmeniz sağlanmış.

Yeni bölümlere sinematikler de eklenmiş. 70 yeni karakterin seslendirilmesinde de orijinal film replikleri kullanılmış. Ayrıca mod içinde Raven'nın Siege oyun tipi için hazırladığı Yıldız Destroyeri haritası da var. Bu haritada X-wing kullanarak yıldız gemisine saldırıyor veya Tie fighterlarla yıldız destroyerini koruyorsunuz.

Ayrıca single player'da Mod'un eklediği "KOTF ADD/LOAD MENU SYSTEM" sayesinde istediğiniz anda karakterinizin tipini 100 skinden biriyle değiştirebiliyorsunuz. Bunun yanı sıra gene bu menuden saber tipi ve kabzası anında değiştirebilecek. 70?den fazla npc?nin ve 20?den fazla aracın bulunduğu listeden de npc ve araçları direkt ekleyebileceksiniz. Ayrıca menudeki bölüm listeleri sayesinde Jedi Academy ve Jedi Outcast bölümlerinden istediğinizi anında oynayabiliyorsunuz.

Multiplayer'a değinecek olursak;

Mod içindeki Haritaların tamamı bot destekli, yani isterseniz bilgisayara karşı da oynayabiliyorsunuz. Dost karakterler birbirleriyle savaşmıyor, düşmanlarına karşı birleşiyorlar. Oyun içerisinde haritalar filmdeki kronolojiye göre sıralanmış ve menudeki harita resimleri özenle yeniden hazırlanmış. Kotf'un gelişmiş bot yükleme sistemi sayesinde, listedeki botların resimleri de görünüyor. Bot listesi iyi karakterlerden kötülere doğru sıralanıyor. Kötü karakterler kırmızı harflerle iyi karakterler yeşil harflerle vurgulanmış. Ayrıca kotf'un orijinal Star Wars bot'ları ile Jedi Academy'nın custom botları menüde birbirlerinden ayrılarak sıralamadaki ahengin bozulması önlenmiş. Bunun dışında MP server filtreleme özelliği geliştirilmiş. KotF'u destekleyen serverların görüntülenmesi kolaylaştırılmış.

Knights of the Force'da Multiplayer maçları artık Star Wars fanları için daha zevkli ve eğlenceli olacak. Oyuna eklenen yeni özellikler ve menuler sayesinde multiplayer'a orijinal Star Wars dünyasına birebir uyan bir RPG havası katacak.

Hazırlanan yeni sistem ve menülerle 70 model + 100 skin, Star Wars filmlerindeki karakteristik özelliklerine göre sınıflandırılmış ve 6 başlık altında toplanmış. SITH LORD'ları, JEDI MASTER'lar, BOUNTY HUNTER'lar, REBEL FORCE'lar, IMPERIAL FORCE'lar, MERCH & ALIEN'ler. Bu 6 grup ayrıca 2 takıma bölünmüş. Dark side team ve Light side team olarak. Ayrıca çok fonksiyonlu olan bu yeni menu sistemiyle orijinal Star Wars karakterlerinin tipik özellikleriyle oyuna dahil olmanız sağlanmış (Güç enerjileri, saber rengi ve kabzası vs. Örnek verirsek: Darth Vader'ı seçmek istediğinizde mouse ile Vader ikonuna basıldıktan sonra Vader'in o akıllara zarar repliğini duyacaksınız "I'm your father" ve aynı anda ekranda Vader, 3 boyutlu olarak görüntülenirken ekranın bir kenarında da Vader'in kırmızı rengli orijinal saber?ı, güç özellikleri ve de filmdeki görevi, mevkisi hakkında bilgi detaylı olarak görüntüleniyor olacak. Seçim yapılıp oyuna girildiğinde Vader'in tüm bu özellikleri oyuna yansımış olacak. Karakterin varsa diğer skin çeşitlerinin bu ekranda seçilebiliyor olması bu menu sisteminin harika özelliklerinden biri.
Takım oyunlarında ise artık mavi ve kırmızı ayrımı kaldırılmış, karakterin kırmızıya ya da maviye boyanması gibi saçma bir durum Kotf'da yaşanmıyor. Takımlar dark side ve light side olarak adlandırılmış ve skinler orjinal halerini muhafaza ediyorlar çünkü artık orijinal filmdeki iyi bir karakter otomatik tanınarak light side takımına aktarılıyor. Aynı şekilde kötü bir karakter ise dark side takımına katılacak. Kısaca karakterinizi seçtiğinizde otomatik olarak uygun olan takıma atanacaksınız. Ayrıca player menüsü de yeniden tasarlanmış ve karakterler belli bir sıraya göre yerleştirilmiş. Jedi Academy'nin kendine özgü karakterleri ise, oyuncunun kendi ekleyeceği yeni karakterlerle birlikte ayrı bir menüde toplanmış.

Mod'un getirdiği diğer özellikler ise şöyle;

Bu modla birlikte jedi Academy ve Jedi Outcast için tam sürüm Türkçe çeviri yapılmış. (Açılışdaki kayan yazılar dahil, tüm menüler, sinematikler ve diğer tüm replikler). Artık bu iki oyunu da Türkçe oynayarak daha büyük keyif alabileceksiniz. Jedi Academy multiplayer için Türkçe seslendirme bile yapılmış. Bunların dışında gelişmiş alt yazı seçenekleri de var.

Her iki oyununda arayüzü menüleri ve müzikleri Star Wars fanlarının kanını kaynatacak şekilde yeniden tasarlanmış. Bunların dışında Jedi Outcast single player bölümlerini Jedi Academy?de oynayabilmek mümkün kılınmış. Jedi Academy'de Jedi Outcast texture desteği sağlanmış. (Yani nette bulabileceğiniz Jedi Outcast için hazırlanmış tüm haritaları Jedi Academy'de oynayabilme imkanı sağlıyor.) Jedi Academy'de olmayan mp oyun tipleri (Jedi master, Capture the Ysalamiri) oyuna katılmış. Jedi Academy multiplayer'a gerekli ayarlar yapılarak Jedi Outcast'daki tüm mp haritaları eklenmiş böylece Jedi Outcast'a alışkanlık yaratan bu haritaların Jedi Academyde de oynanabilmesi sağlanmış.

Knights of the Force Total Conversion toplam 700 megabyte'lık yani 1 cd'lik bir genişleme paketi. Cd'nin yurt dışı versiyonunda Türkçe dil desteği olmayacak ancak 30 dan fazla ülkedeki Star Wars fanının özlemle çıkmasını beklediği bu modun, kurulumu sırasında yabancı oyun severlere ülkemizin tanıtım videosu izletilerek memleketimizin doğal güzelliklerinin ve insanlarının tanıtılması da planlanıyor. Dağıtım şekli ve çıkış tarihi önümüzdeki günlerde belli olacak.

CES 2009'da göze çarpan cep telefonları.
CES, (Consumer Electronic Show - Tüketici Elektroniği Fuarı) dünyanın en büyük fuarı olma özelliğine sahip. Cep telefonları da dünyanın en popüler elektronik cihazları olunca, cep telefonlarının CES'in bu yılki yıldızları arasında olduklarını söylemek yanlış değil.
iPhone'un yakaladığı popülerliğin ardından birçok üretici de dokunmatik ekranlı, internet bağlantılı ve birçok uygulama çalıştıran kendi ürünlerini sundular. Fakat bu yılın cep telefonları arasında diğerlerinden ayrılan "kişilikli" ürünler de bulunuyor.

Samsung gibi firmaların bile iPhone türevi ürünlerini bulmak mümkün. Google Phone olarak da bilinen T-Mobile'ın G1 telefonu da dokunmatik ekrana sahip ilk ürünler arasında.

Nokia N97
Çıkışı resmi olarak geçen ay Barselona'daki Nokia World 2008 konferansında yapılan Nokia N97, Symbian OS işletim sisteminin beşinci sürümünü kullanıyor. CES 2009'da oldukça rağbet gören N97, Nokia'nın ilk dönebilen kayar kapaklı ürünü. Son derece kullanışlı klavyesi, hızlı işlem gücü ve optimal ekran açısı ile hayli başarılı bir ürün.

N97'nin bazı özellikleri arasında dokunmatik ekranın eldivenle bile çalışabilmesi, gerçek 16:9 formatında tam ekran görüntü sunabilmesi, sosyal ağlara ve Flash videolara ulaşabilen web tarayıcısının yanında 5 MP Carl Zeiss lensi ve tümleşik flaşı da bulunuyor. Elektronik pusula ve GPS özellikleri de cabası.

BlackBerry Storm
CES öncesinde piyasaya çıkan birkaç telefondan biri olan BlackBerry Storm, dokunmatik ekranı kullanırken tıklamaya benzer bir etki yaratmasıyla dikkatleri çekmişti.

BlackBerry işletim sistemi ile gelen ve 10 adete kadar push email hesabını yönetebileceğiniz bu cihaz, kurumsal müşteriler için de zaman içinde oldukça cazip bir ürün haline geldi.
Palm Pre:
Treo ile dokunmatik ekranlı telefonların öncülerinden olan Palm, Pre ürünü ile iPhone için en iyi alternatifi sunuyor diyebiliriz.

Yeni işletim sistemi ve Palm Web OS ile dikkat çeken Palm Pre, üzerindeki GPS ve Wi-Fi donanımına ek olarak, oldukça hassas ve hızlı tepki veren, (iPhone'dakine benzer multi-touch yeteneklerine sahip) dokunmatik ekrana ve kayar klavyeye sahip. Palm Pre, kurumsal Blackberry kullanıcıları kadar iPhone kullanıcılarının da aklını çeliyor.
LG'den kol saati şeklinde cep telefon: LG WristPhone
Adını duymadığımız firmaların amorf telefonları bir kenara, LG hem kullanışlı, hem de şık olan kol saati şeklindeki cep telefonu ile CES ziyaretçilerinin ilgisini çekti. 1.4" dokunmatik ekranlı saat, kadınlar arasında revaçta olan büyük saat modasına da uyum sağladı.

Müzik, 3G, ses algılama, hoparlör ve Bluetooth gibi özellikler ile zamanında James Bond filmlerinde görüp özlemini çektiğimiz teknolojiyi sonunda ayağımıza getirdi.

Gigabyte GTX 260 OC

NVIDIA’nın GeForce GTX 200 serisi grafik işlemcileri, aslında şu anda grafik işlemcileri dünyasının Godzilla’ları durumunda. 1.4Milyar transistor içeriyorlar ve tam 24 x 24mm boyuta sahipler. Dış kılıf ile birilikte boyut 55 x 55mm’e kadar çıkıyor. NVIDIA GeForce GTX serisi grafik işlemcilerini aslında ilk olarak 240 shader işlemcisi içeren GTX280 ve 192 adet shader işlemcisine sahip GTX260 olarak piyasaya sürmüştü. Ancak NVIDIA daha sonra araya “GTX 260 Core 216” adını verdiği bir grafik işlemcisi daha soktu. İsminden de anlayabileceğiniz gibi bu grafik işlemcisi 216 adet shader işlemcisini bünyesinde barındıran bir GTX260 grafik işlemcisinden başka birşey değil. Bu grafik işlemcisinde 216 adet shader işlemcisi dışından tüm özellikler GTX260 ile ortak.
İnceleyeceğimiz Gigabyte GTX260 (GV-N260C-896H-B)’da NVIDIA’nın 216 adet shader işlemcisine sahip GTX260 grafik yongasını kullanıyor. Aslında bu kart “Gigabyte GTX260 OC Edition” ismi ile anılıyor. Zaten kartın üzerindeki sticker’da bunu doğruluyor. Ancak kutudan çıkarttığınızda hızlar standart GeForce GTX260 hızlarında. Yani kart 576MHz çekirdek, 1242 MHz shader işlemcisi ve 1000MHz(x2) hafıza hızları ile geliyor. Bunun nedeni kartın NVIDIA referans dizaynı olması. Yani aslında GTX 260OC ismi NVIDIA’dan geliyor. Gigabyte’da bu ismi aynen kullanmış.

İsim haksızda sayılmaz GTX260 OC’nin GTX260’a oranla sahip olduğu fazladan 24 adet shader işlemcisi onu GTX260’dan yaklaşık %10-15 kadar hızlı yapıyor zaten. Fakat ürün isminde “OC” harflerini görünce mutlaka standart hızların üzerinde çalışan bir ürünle karşılaşılacakmış gibi bir hisse kapılınıyor.

Kutudan Gigabyte GeForce GTX 260 OC Edition, kullanım klavuzu ve sürücü CD’si, 2 x 6pin- >Molex çevirici, 2 x VGA ->DVI, bir adet DVI -> HDMI çevirici ve S/PDIF kablosu çıkıyor.

nVIDIA SLI ve ATI CrossfireX

AMD (ATI) cephesinden CrossFireX, ve nVidia cenahından da 3'lü SLI (3-way SLI) teknolojilerinin gelmesiyle SLI ve Crossfire arasındaki rekabet iyice kızışmaya başladı. Bu iki teknoloji de kısaca birden fazla ekran kartını tek bir sistemde paralel olarak bağlayarak grafik performansını arttırmaya yarıyor; ama işin iç yüzü bu kadar basit mi?
Kaynak eksikliğinden, ekonomik güçlüklerden (ve tabii ülkemiz insanında içten içe bilgisayar korkusu olmasından-"dokunma bozulur") ortaya çıkan bir moral bozukluğu ile bu teknolojileri tam olarak anlayamadık. Ya da duyduk ama nedir, ne değildir diye çok merak etmedik.

Öncelikle nVidia SLI ile başlayalım. İlk defa 1998 yılında 3dfx firması tarafından Voodoo 2 kartlarla adını duyduğumuz bu teknoloji, o zamanlar Scan Line Interleaving teriminin baş harflerinden oluşan bir terimdi ve her grafik işlemcinin bir grup satırın işlenmesi görevini kendi üzerine almasıyla (bir GPU tek sayıdaki satırları alırken diğeri çift sayıdaki satırları alıyor) çalışıyor, daha sonra işlenen grafik verileri üst üste bindirilerek görüntü oluşturuluyordu. Daha sonra Nvidia 2001 yılında 3dfx firmasını satın aldı ve 2004 yılında öncekine benzer bir konsepte sahip ekran kartlarını kullanıcıya sundu. Kısaltma SLI olarak kaldı, fakat açılımı bu kez Scalable Link Interface (Ölçeklendirilebilir Bağlantı Arayüzü haline geldi.
SLI aşağıdaki modlarda (kiplerde) çalışabiliyor:
SFR (Split Frame Rendering): Her kare (frame, çerçeve: akan görüntüyü oluşturan hareketsiz görüntülerin her biri) ortadan (enine) ikiye bölünüyor ve 2 GPU arasında paylaştırılıyor. Her grafik işlemci işlediği görüntüyü daha sonra geri gönderiyor ve parçalar birleştiriliyor. Bu mod 2'li SLI (2-way SLI) konfigürasyonlarında kullanılıyor.

AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering), Her kare bir GPU'ya gönderiliyor. Her GPU tek bir kareyi işliyor, fakat biri önceki kareyi işlerken diğeri bir sonraki kareyi aldığı için ilk işlemci görevini bitirdiğinde ikinci kare çoktan hazır oluyor. Bu döngü daha çok 3'lü SLI (3-way) konfigürasyonlarında kullanılıyor.

SFR of AFR (AFR den AFR): Bu sistem 4'lü SLI (Quad SLI) konfigürasyonlarında kullanııyor ve yukarıdaki iki metodu birden gerçekleştiriyor. GPU'lardan ikisi ilk kareyi SFR modunda işlerken, diğer ikisi bir sonraki kareyi yine SFR modunda işliyor.

SLI AA (Anti-Aliasing): Bu mod oyun performansından çok görüntü kalitesine hitap ediyor. Oyun nispeten daha yavaş çalışıyor fakat görüntü kalitesi oldukça iyileşiyor. Tek bir ekran kartı ile 4x veya 8x anti-aliasing (kenar yumuşatma) mümkünken, SLI ile bu katsayı 8x, 16x, (hatta kullandığınız SLI moduna göre) 32x seviyesine ulaşabiliyor. Ama ne yazık ki bu mod şimdilik Microsoft Windows Vista yüklü sistemlerde çalışmıyor. Henüz emekleme aşamasında.

Karahan Online de İlk yapmanız gerek hangi serverda oynamak istediğinize karar vermektedir. Aklınıza direk peki serverların ne farkı var diyebilirsiniz? Fark şudur arkadaşlar eğer grup olarak veya arkadaşlarınızla oynuyorsanız server arası geçiş falan söz konusu değildir, yan, eğer server 1 de siz 30 levelde iseniz server 2 ye geçtiğiniz zaman orda yeni bi karakter oluşturmanız gerekmektedir. Grup olarak oynuyorsanız aynı serverda oynyın. Toplam şuanda “Karahan” online serverları 2 adet açılmıştır, ilerde bu rakam artacaktır tabi, Barbaros ve Pirireis Olarak iki server yer almaktadır, yoğunluk barbarosta fazladır ama bu sıralar ikiside dengede gibi gözükmektedir.
